Swim Contract and Policies
Automatic Payment Policy
- Swim With Mr. Blue has implemented automatic bill pay for our monthly group classes. This automatic renewal program guarantees that your space is reserved for you from month to month.
- Your credit card information will be stored on our secure server and automatically billed on the 3rd Saturday before your swimmer’s drop date for another 4 weeks of their current classes (please note that this is 8 days before your session ends). Please notify our office if you prefer to be billed in 8 or 12 week increments. This allows us a full week to work out payment issues before your child is dropped from class. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to keep your credit card information up to date. If your card is declined we will grant a one-time grace period, a processing charge of $25 will be incurred for declined transactions thereafter.
- If you choose not to continue with your child’s sessions, you must notify us in writing via email at teamblue@swimwithmrblue.com at least 2 weeks before your session end date or you will be automatically billed for the new session. If you are unsure when your end date is, you can log in to our Customer Portal by visiting www.swimwithmrblue.com and clicking “Customer Portal.” If you do not know your password, please click “Forgot Password” for assistance. Once you request to not continue lessons, you will receive an email response acknowledging that your email was received. We strongly suggest that you keep a copy of this email for your records. Once your renewal payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued for that month.
- Please note that if you leave Mr. Blue and then return at a later date, your account will be placed back on automatic bill pay upon your enrollment.
General Swim Policies
- While we try to accommodate customers requests, we cannot guarantee the availability of particular instructors. Refunds will not be issued due to the unavailability of a preferred instructor.
- Minimum age for group classes is 2.5 years of age.
- Swimmers who are not toilet trained must be double swim diapered while in our pool. The best layer of protection is a disposable swim diaper under a reusable plastic swim diaper. For the safety of all our super swimmer families if there is a fecal incident which requires us close the pool and cancel classes, you will be charged $100.
- All boys and girls with hair longer than chin-length must come to class with their swim caps on and ready to swim. Caps can be purchased at your local store or you can purchase on from Swim With Mr. Blue for $10. Children with hair longer than chin-length that do not have swim caps will not be able to swim. Our instructors are unable to stop class to put swim caps on so please come prepared.
- Please remember to apply sunscreen on your children at least 20 minutes before class. We cannot allow children to have sunscreen applied right before swimming, as it washes off into the pool and becomes unsanitary for other children.
- For the safety of our instructors please keep your child’s nails trimmed.
- Please do not allow your child to eat or drink anything heavy, especially dairy or acidic foods, prior to swim classes.
- Please do not park in any reserved parking spaces. If our landlord tows your vehicle, it will be at your own expense.
Mr. Blue's Attendance Policy / 5 Day Guarantee Requirements & Info
- Students are allowed one (1) makeup per class per four weeks if you are enrolled in one (1) class per week, or two (2) classes per week.
- For staffing/ scheduling purposes, all absences must be emailed to the office giving a 24 hour (or more) notice. If the office is not notified within 24 hours, the class will NOT be eligible for a makeup class. The makeup class must be rescheduled within the session they are accrued (within 30 days). Once a new session begins, any remaining makeups from the prior session that have been left unscheduled are forfeited. We may offer a “make up” day to assist you with conducting your makeups, please contact the office to see if we are offering one for your current month.
- If your child is going to miss a scheduled swim class, please email teamblue@swimwithmrblue.com with your child’s full name and class level and day and date they will be missing This needs to be done with a minimum of 24 hours notice to be eligible for a makeup class. It is your responsibility to schedule your make-up, and the class must be made up within the current session. You can schedule the make-up class via e-mail at teamblue@swimwithmrblue.com to ensure the proper date and time. You are eligible for one makeup class per each four week session.
- In an effort to keep classes moving efficiently, if you miss a scheduled make-up class you will forfeit the make-up. There are no makeups for missed makeup classes.
- If we cancel classes due to weather or holidays there will be a message on our phone system 954-956-9955 option 3 to let you know. You will also receive an email and/ or text message. Please make sure to opt-in to email and texting on our customer portal and to keep your email and phone number up to date. We are not responsible for any inconvenience caused if you are not notified of a closure because your information is outdated or you are not subscribed to texts/ emails. It is your responsibility to schedule weather and holiday makeups within the session they are accrued (within 30 days). Once a new session begins, any remaining unscheduled weather and holiday makeups are forfeited.
- If you have scheduled the 5 Day Program and are unable to complete the week, you must reschedule your class(es) within 30 days of initial start date. If you do not complete the 5 Day Program within that time frame you will forfeit the remaining class(es) and we will be unable to issue a refund. Any changes to your 5 Day Program “BLUE” or “JUNIOR BLUE” schedule MUST be forwarded to your instructor as well as the main office.
** If your child has a physical limitation, the five day guarantee cannot be offered. In addition, your child will need to practice the skils they are working on during the week un order to reinforce their learning to help them learn to swim in just five days. It is the parents responsibility to make sure their child is practicing what they are learning in the “Learn to Swim in Just 5 Days Mr. Blue Program.”
Release of liability
As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Swim With Mr. Blue, its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/ or the undersigned, while in our upon the premises or any premises under the control and supervision of Swim With Mr. Blue, its owners and operators or in route to or from any said premises. For the safety of all our swimmers, Swim With Mr. Blue reserves the right to not allow participation in the program if they are sick or have something that may be contagious.
Medical Emergency
The undersigned gives permission to Swim With Mr. Blue, its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the even they are not able to reach a parent or guardian. I hereby declare any physical/ mental problems, restrictions, or condition and/ or declare the participant to be in good physical and mental health.
Photo Release
Photos and videos are occasionally taken at Swim With Mr. Blue and are used for Swim With Mr. Blue publicity purposes on our website and social media.
Discounted Lessons, Promotional Rates and Coupons
- If you enroll using an online special, discounted program, or a coupon, the discounted purchase price is non-refundable.
- Only one (1) Mr. Blue offer may be used in a single session.
- If you enroll using a voucher from Water Smart Broward/ Swim Central, you must turn in the original coupon within two weeks of the date you enroll. If you do not turn in the coupon, your account will be charged the value of the coupon ($40 for the kids coupon or $50 for the adult coupon). If you do not receive the voucher, it is your responsibility to follow up with Swim Central and Water Smart Broward for resolution. Their contact information is available at www.watersmartbroward.org. We will not incur the cost of unreceived vouchers.
